Birthdays are special! You remember the excitement of welcoming new life to your family…you experience the overwhelming joy…and responsibility! Today is our son’s birthday. Forty-one years ago, we had a beautiful baby boy! Our first child, something we had been hoping and dreaming of for several years.
This year James would be 41. While we celebrate who he was; “Guitarist, Musician, Web and Database Programmer; Intelligent, Creative, Silly, Loving, Strong, a Fighter (battled cancer for 5 years); Not Afraid to Speak His Mind. Known as the Angry Gnome and the World’s Greatest Uncle. ” We also mourn the loss of our hopes, dreams and future with him. You see, James was diagnosed with cancer at 29 and passed at 34. We still celebrate his life…and are grateful for him. But we also miss him terribly.
If you know someone who has lost a child; please know that you provide comfort and honor that child’s memory when you speak his name and share your memories of him.
We love you baby boy!
