By June 1, 2020, staying home was routine. I started to focus on scanning my mother’s photobooks. It took many hours to scan all eleven of them…and many more hours to enter the information available for each picture into my desktop software. A year later, I am finishing the last book. Of course, I have worked on other books (funeral books, baby books, wedding books) as well, trying to get as much scanned and backed up as possible.
I found so much family history in those books; I now want to launch into genealogy and answer some of the questions I have. I have answered one burning question…the family story that my Dad lost his father when he was two. In reality, he was a little over 3 when he lost his Dad. I found the grave marker and the death certificate. The family story never said why his Dad passed; so I now know.
