January 2025 has gone by quickly. It was a historic month here in Kansas City. We had a huge snow storm that dumped 14 inches in our area. They asked us to stay off the roads until they had time to clear things. It was a lot of snow… and then the cold set in… and was so cold, the snow didn’t melt. Weeks later, we still have large piles of snow.
Of course, the big news this month is that our Kansas City Chiefs are going to their third straight Super Bowl. It is a historic mark for this team. I remember the first Super Bowl. I had been a Green Bay fan for many years. My dad and I watched many football games together. That’s how I became a Green Bay fan because in those days, we only had three channels to choose from… so you watched the game that was being shown. Green Bay was often on our local channel. When we moved to the Kansas City metro, I had a second team to watch.
Memories… precious memories of enjoying something as simple as a football game with my father. Do you have fond memories of your family? Did you inherit the family Bible, scrapbooks, or that stack of photos? Have you written your story?
Would you like to organize those into a family history to share with siblings, cousins, and other family members who share your passion? And with many generations that will follow. Would you like to protect those precious memories before you have a tragic event like the California fires?
I would love to help you get started… “one byte at a time.”
