How do you protect your memories?
Because we live in tornado alley, I have many of my most treasured books in the basement in plastic tubs on heavy shelves that are anchored to the cement walls. I know that won’t save them in the worst of storms but was always hopeful that it would help.
I’m in the process of scanning these special items, making a digital photo book and putting them in my on-line storage. The past 3 weeks I have worked on our Wedding Book. This special book has pictures, our wedding bulletin, thank you note cards, newspaper clippings, gift lists, newspaper clipping and our church newsletter about our wedding.
I have some items from our two wedding showers and pictures of our rehearsal, too. I want to get all of it scanned and placed in digital scrapbooks. Once this is all done, I can display and enjoy our wedding books instead of hiding them in the basement.
Would you like to have your precious memories saved in a safe place? Want to learn more?
Don’t think you have the time or equipment to make it happen? You might be surprised!
