As you may have read, we are bereaved parents. Our son passed away in 2015 after five years of cancer treatments. It is a grief like no other.
We have been able to find comfort in our family dog. Our daughter rescued a dog ten days after losing her brother, our son. The shelter guessed she was about two years old. Penny was a blessing to our entire family. Yes, there was a period of adjustment to her new home. Initially, I wasn’t sure she was going to fit in. But soon she settled into a routine and became our “therapy” dog. November 2023, our Penny passed.
Once again, our daughter felt the need to adopt another dog. Sure enough, she found a cute two-month-old puppy whose mother had been rescued shortly before he was born. Milo is going through a period of adjustment to his new home. And we are adjusting to life with a new family member. The joy he has brought is beyond explanation.
Yes, like any new family member, we have taken lots of photos. We want to capture those moments of puppy antics. We want to write the story. We made a photo book of memories after we lost our Penny. I had to dig and dig for information and pictures.
Now, I’m collecting the memories in my permanent online account; organizing and telling the story as we go. I will have one place to find the memories when we want to create a photo book… maybe I will make one for a Christmas gift for our daughter. Milo’s first year!
Do you want to save your precious photos and family history in one place where they will be sharable, backed up and safe?

Of course, our son had a companion dog to help him through cancer treatment. Here’s a photo of James and Lelu:
